[*]1. Windows
[*]2. Linux
[*]3. Mac

Which one do you use while doing developer work ? To be clear, which one do you want to use ?

I too felt so. Today, I was doing some work where npm was involved. The way we can use that through Terminal, I would not dream of it in Windows. People forgot CMD altogether.

@Abhi who on earth wants to use an operating system where you can't ping a port natively ? Yes Windows, I'm looking at you 🤬

Looks like Satya Nadella is smart. WSL is getting good reviews from Windows fans.

I am afraid they might consume Ubuntu in a couple of years.

I have done a lot of things with Linux that I will never ask from Windows. It could be just that Windows does not need those things.

Installing Android Studio on Linux was fun and complex, before they came with a snap for it. It is one click install now.

There are lot of such stuff which you do only on Linux, mainly on CLI. I don't think anyone using Windows will even want to use CLI.

A lot of people I follow on social media prefer to show their Mac while talking about tech stuff. I am not sure that is because Mac book is superior than what Linux offer as an OS.

Well, yes, but all Micro$oft are doing here is extending their own sub system with Linux. They have to embrace this otherwise they will sink.

True. Linux Mint, Ubuntu etc are very close to being a 100 % Windows alternative. In some areas, they are more creative and strong.

I hear a lot of praise for Arch Linux and Manjaro which is based on it. Probably because Arch is famous for its penetration testing tools. But Manjaro is a complete novice desktop OS from what I heard with Arch Linux as its base.

Notice nobody's mentioned slack yet 😁. Mind you, that's not for the faint hearted. There's also fedora, the free version of RHEL
