With the kind of resource vBulletin has, they could really hire a great team and put together a product which is invincible. Not sure why they are managing with what they have. I am not saying they are doing bad, but why on Earth would BMW bring an entry level car ? They could chase Rolls Royce.

vB3 was a great success. The following versions never managed to generate the same hype. vB is not cheap either.

@Abhi V Bulletin Forum is very search engine friendly and capable of generating a lot of traffic. The opinion, however, is that it is inaccessible to beginners. It's a little expensive.

@Jason IPB and XenForo users don't need to help it go down, Internet Brands have done most of the damage themselves. Once they took over vB just plummeted. It's such a shame, because it was such an amazing product from 1.x -> 3.8, 4.x onward has been one mess after another.

@PGen98 I think internet brands should sell it to someone that knows what they’re doing, Back in the day it use to be bigger then any forum software now IPB and Xenforo have over taken that.

@Fait Agreed, they've completely destroyed what vBulletin was. Granted, it's still big, many corporate clients use it, but it's nowhere near what it was before. Such a shame. Still, glad Kier and Mike managed to get XenForo off of the ground, even after that lawsuit.
