Using Social media

How many of you have successfully used social media for the promotion of your website ? How did it go ?

I have used it and have been moderately successful. It was not a big swing, but it worked and there was a lot of conversion.

You need to sync with all social media accounts across various services.

There are a few local social marketing teams popping up. They mainly do film related promotions. Mostly films from Telugu which gets dubbed to the local language. I don't know how reliable they are though.

hmm. Sounds interesting. They will have some influence on some groups, no doubt. That is how these groups pop-up. Just because there is money in it. Offer a free recharge and see how many lands in the que.

Such teams can be very useful for local events and projects. I am currently keeping a tab on them. If there come some use, I don't mind paying them.

This did extremely well - 15,666 impressions with several likes, retweets, profile clicks etc. Ended up with about 30 new followers as a result, and a huge spike in traffic for a while.

Timing is everything though.

That looks like a great strategy. Will get enough exposure when we do that successfully.

I am mostly shy thinking they will think bad of me. But that is not the case.

@Abhi It's all about content - it's 100% "king" here. If you have something people want to read, and it's relevant to them, then it'll work. Building a social presence isn't easy.
