Rewards for email subscrption

On your blog, do you offer a reward in exchange for email subscription ? Do you think that it is a good idea ?

I asked because I see a lot blogs doing it these days.

That is a good bait, that is why bloggers do that. Some scam, but most of the goodies are genuine, useful digital content.

They have no choice but to impress the subscriber. Otherwise who will read their email or come back to the website ?

Agreed. I am also working on one such offer. Not sure what will be a right gift.

I think there will be a plugin to do that with WordPress.
