Some forums use this facility where your thread is highlighted by colour or is made sticky. Is this something of a benefit to you ? I see a lot of people want to do that in the market place of busy forums to highlight their service or " For Sale " offer.

Will you ask for a sticky post in a blog as well, for a fee ?

@Abhi This gives a boost for the post and shows the post in the front rather than in second or 3 page. I won't go for a fee but if i win a contest to showcase my forum sticky i will go for it.

That is a brilliant idea. We can use it own our own forums as a reward. In Discussion based forums, such a sticky would stand out with attention.

@Abhi No Abhi, my forum is new and i don't have much posts. Maybe in the future i might apply this method.

You can always sell banner spots even if your forum is new. Does your software support adding banners on top of the page ? Header banners as they call it.

@Abhi Yes, forum software has inbuilt ad option. To have banners in header, side bar, footer and between posts.
