That is a huge list. But some time back, I heard a corporate person saying that he will never buy a free product. Mainly because the support will be pathetic. That is one reason that roams around when you get to know the enterprise customers.
Some are really paranoid about open source. They think it is quite unsafe to use a product whose source code is available to all.
That is where the paid CMS pitch in. Their main keyword is " Safe ".
True, but it's much better than it was. People prefer Open Source because of the flexibility and transparency - if you provide the code upfront, there is no hidden agenda, meaning everyone can see exactly what that software package does. Closed source however can contain all sorts of things you wouldn't approve of, such as registry changes, collection of personal information etc...
For the support side, it's perfectly feasible to take an Open Source product with professional support. WordPress does this extensively, and so does Red Hat (the "pro" version of Fedora Core)
We can't do anything. Those are 2 school of thoughts. One contradicting another. People are adamant on their view point. If you try to correct them, they will end up as your enemy.
