Optimising for Lighthouse

I recently saw a forum running Discourse with a Google Lighthouse score of 90 +

Is it possible to optimise our hosting so that it can do well than the normal 40 - 60 score ? Have you ever tried to modify your server so that it is fast enough to do well in a Google Lighthouse test ?

There some paid hosting gurus which do it for you for a fee. I will look up for some guides and see if there are any dependable options. The point is, you have to optimise both hosting and the CMS.

You have to be careful when performing optimisation like this. That quest for the holy grail of 100% can easily leave you with a site that no longer functions correctly. In most cases, 100% is rarely achieved unless you have a static site than can be cached in full.

If you allow users to login etc, forget that cache as it will cause you issues.

There are many guides available since Google is giving merit to Lighthouse in ranking. But be sure what you try. You might end up breaking something. Do only if you know what you are doing. Especially when you are meddling with your CMS.
