Have you ever lost your motivation to continue with a project? How did you build it back up? Have you ever shut down a project simply due to lack of motivation to continue?
Just like everyone else, I have also felt that it is time to stop this. But I have always been in the company of good people who tried to help and motivate me at that point. That is the only reason I continued with many of my projects, especially blogs which are a one-man show.
I think we’ve all have at one point or another. Especially when we get frustrated or down because we are stuck learning something, when we don’t have enough help & support. Whenever that happens, I take a step back & re-prioritize. Do I want to continue truly? If so, I’ll think of ways to help myself. If it’s becoming a drudgery & my heart just isn’t in it like it used to be, I’ll stop & move on.
Friends like you all who spend the time on projects I have created. The pleasure when we are able to help someone without expecting anything in return is very satisfying.
It can be very bad if we want make money and people are not helpful that way. In such case, people easily choose to give so that they can cut down other costs.
I think that complications in real life can really affect your motivation to continue virtual projects as well. If you are more stressed out in real life, it seems that you would be more likely to give up on a project.
