How to show up on Google for free

A lot of webmasters nurture their forums with a lot of content and activity but fail to rank on Google. But last day I saw a lot of people come up in Google without even a website.

What is your trick to show yourselves on Google ?

[*]4. Quora
[*]5. Topic titles on high ranking websites

These are the most common and most effective methods without anyone censoring you. As for the last option, you will need permission from the staff of that particular website

It is Facebook profiles that ace the search results in Google for me. Quora results are mostly inaccurate and spammy. People purposefully promote their forum to get into the list through fake IDs.

In the end, put your name on a high ranking website. Make sure you do them a favour and ask your topic / listing be there.

And be very careful. Google is now after unethical link building with its new algorithm update.

@Abhi yes, but most of them these days frown upon back links. To earn that, you'd have to gain trust and respect through thought provoking posts

My personal preference is my post no. 1. Those easy and trusted platforms. As for reviews, blogs and forums can be really helpful.

Heard about Yellow pages ? There is an online version of it. In fact, a lot of people are doing it. So you get more than one local directory to add your service.

@admin Yes i have heard about it and in the past used it. But i read it is of less use and google doesn't care about the listing much.

Google like their own local listing. But local directory staff walk into every shop and collect the info. So they are superior than what Google has to offer. So if you make yourself listed, basic pack will be free, that is a simple way to show up on Google.
