How to fix permission issues in linux.

In wp dash I just clicked clear cache it told me access denied in logs as cache was not cleared then I have used chmod and chown then again it works and after 20 - 30 mins again access was denied.

I am running WordPress on an apache server one thing I do daily is chmod and then chown www-data because my permissions reset daily, please help me how to fix this.

This should not happen. You should talk to your host about this.

Did you inspect the logs. It must have something about the change of permissions for var/www folder.

Nothing much only WP and Postfix server.

You should try using some advanced logging tools. Identify what is causing the change in permissions first.

Also, as suggested above, you will get lesser issues if you use an LTS version.

Hello @Abhi I tried LTS it worked properly but after a day it started doing the same thing I tried everything but nothing just helped me and now I finally set up cron job to chmod and chown the /home/web directory so that I won't have to struggle for clearing cache.
