There was a time when everyone was so busy with guest blogging. For some it worked, for some, a lot of time and effort went futile.

Do you still see people doing guest blogging ? And get backlinks in return ?

I tried this a while back with a large firm who wanted me to write security articles for them. They paid by the article - very poorly in fact - and then wanted exclusive access to the content meaning you couldn't then use it elsewhere despite writing it.

Considering that you are a professional, you can ask to keep the rights. Or ask for back-links from reputed websites for good articles. Some of them are rude, don't get upset by that.

I did ask - they wanted exclusive - I refused.

Bad people. Maybe they can pay more, as in branding removal.

What can I say. People are strange sometimes.

But give them topics which you don't want keep right for.

@admin the truth here is that I'll willingly give information to anyone who wants to learn. I actually get a kick out of teaching others and enabling them on their journey. What I resent however are those who seek to benefit financially from other people's knowledge that isn't their own.

That is what all successful blogs are. :(
