I usually try and wait until I have a bunch of them to do however If I need one done in a hurry I'll get it done.

People that I used in the past gave better deals when there was more than one logo or banner to do, for example, on one of my sites I will be needing a new logo and an array of different size banners for an app plus an avatar.
