Changing the old theme

Do you often try theme change ? Or do you keep it for long to gain SEO benefits ?

How complex themes do you try over the old one ?

The themes I have on mine are available through the Proboards Library for anybody to download. I keep the same theme as Default on mine but I do offer several others for members to switch to.

I did not know a theme helps you gain SEO benefits. How would it do that?

Google is a fan of clean layouts. Rephrasing, Google like readability.

When we change a theme, the layout changes and this could be a factor that affects the SEO. Google's official video says that Layout changes can affect your ranking on Google.

It is a possible reason that most of the big names do not play a lot with their interface.

Changing layouts frequently is a bad idea. Readability is an important metric with Google SEO.

I try to change nothing at all if possible. Almost any experienced person will tell you that if it not broken, don't fix it.

Imagine you are going to a city. What if the city roads changes every 6 months ? One way changes direction, traffic rules are changed and so on. Wouldn't that be a mess ? Google thinks so.
