California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), I heard is somewhat like GDPR. But it affects you only if you have collected data of more than 50 lakh customers. That puts regular forum owners out of the scene. There was some article on the local newspaper saying that it is a good thing for the people who live there. They were also vociferous about why there is no such law locally.
