Auto renew domain

Do you set your domain on auto renew ? Does it help to set up auto renew in domain control panel ?

I never do that. It means leaving your card details with someone. Yes, we can file a dispute but why would we leave financial credentials with someone we do not know.

I disable auto renew, this way if my project fail or want to let the domain expire it is useful.

@Jason amen to that. Letting some domains expire over the coming months that I will no longer use.

@Jason hrs, and several others. I tend do use whoever has the best deal at the time.

@phenomlab If namecheap we can sell the domain in market place and fetch some money and it worked for me with few domains

How was the margin ? Did you make some real profit @Jason ?

@Abhi Yes i did make some profit but the margin is very less i got 1 or 2$ more for the domains i sold. As i didn't make use of the domain wisely to get good backlinks and set good price to make profit

It is still better to get rid of the domain and get the investment price back as well.

@phenomlab When i try to visit the domain i get Security issue, is the domain parked or using Godaddy's Nameserver?

@Jason no. It's redirected to another domain presently which is why you'll get the SSL error.
